The ChinaMed Project, in collaboration with the University of Naples "L'Orientale," is pleased to unveil a new series of academic lectures on "China and the Middle East from the Cold War to the Present" for Spring 2024.

The ChinaMed Project, in collaboration with the University of Naples "L'Orientale" and the al-Sabah Programme of Durham University, is pleased to unveil a stimulating series of academic lectures on "China and the Middle East from the Cold War to the Present."

Experts from Europe, the Middle East, and China were invited to come to Rome, at Treccani's headquarters, to present and discuss the position of the Gulf in Chinese and American foreign policy, as well as how the countries from that part of the world are adjusting their strategies to seize the opportunities, and limit the risks, created by the rising US-China rivalry. The papers that were presented during the event are part of a special issue that will be published in early 2024 in Middle East Policy, the most frequently cited journal on the Middle East region in the field of international affairs.

Hosted by the Director of the ChinaMed Project, Prof. Enrico Fardella, six top scholars will discuss different aspects of the relations between China and the Middle East in a series of hybrid events between March 1 and April 12, 2023.
