The ChinaMed Project of the TOChina Hub, Tel Aviv University and the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies jointly organize the third edition of the online summer program "China in the Mid-Med - Technology, Governance and Security".

This year's ChinaMed Symposium was held online within the framework of the TOChina Summer School with afternoon dedicated to the research agenda of the ChinaMed Project. During this event, the speakers discussed different aspects of China's relations with, and role in the wider Mediterranean region, with a specific focus on each of the three areas that compose that region - the Middle East, North Africa, Southern Europe and the Western Balkans.‍

This panel, titled "The Euro-Mediterranean Region and China: the role of Chinese trade in the centrality of the EuroMed," is the sixth of the workshop "A Strategic Nexus: the Euro-Mediterranean Region and China" organized by the ChinaMed Project and Formiche - in partnership with the Center for the Mediterranean Area Studies (CMAS) of Peking University, the Institute for Global Cooperation and Understanding (IGCU) of Peking University, the TOChina Hub of the University of Turin, the Georgetown Representative Office in Rome, the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies (MDC) and the Department of East Asian Studies of Tel Aviv University. This workshops aims to address trends and challenges of the growing interconnection between the Euro-Mediterranean Region and China, and its potential impact on regional and global dynamics.
